Our first Podcast, Peanut Butter & Jelly, and the Unexpected

The Pear Tree Project is going to be on a Podcast!

This uniquely created exploration of topics is named Surviving the Human Experience. Each episode and/or series is specifically designed to explore and discuss subjects that play a role or have an impact on our human experience. Themes chosen span across health and wellness, self-discovery, life encounters, personal growth, healing, and more.

We will be recording June 1st and the show will air later in the month.

I have never done a podcast, so I began thinking what will we discuss, for 45 minutes?

Topics will obviously include increasing the awareness of The Pear Tree Project, as well as a nourishing discourse on social media and its impact on civilization.

Of course, the host will provide questions and guidance, and spontaneity is always welcome during these times. However, apprehension is common when anyone must perform. Nervousness feeds the energy of the moment, and without purposeful direction it can lead to an anxious end, instead of a fantastic journey.

When I experience anxiety about a work event, family gathering, doctor’s visit, etc. — I find random thoughts quell my unease. We all need more indiscriminate reflections, interesting facts, and brain teasers. I know my mind tends to work best when operating in a digressive manner.

Here are some things to ponder to center your attention…

  • Is the dog fetching the ball for you just because he thinks you love throwing it?
  • What do you get when you cross a rhetorical question with a joke?
  • Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is the fear of long words.
  • If you search for askew in Google the content will tilt slightly to the right
  • Mary’s father has five daughters – Nana, Nene, Nini, Nono. What is the fifth daughter’s name? If you answered Nunu, you are wrong. It is Mary.
  • 123-45-67+89=100.
  • 55% of Americans believe they are smarter than the average American.
  • 96% of people put peanut butter on first when making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
  • What word becomes shorter when you add two letters to it? (Answer – Short)
  • If you expect the unexpected, is the unexpected then expected?

So, while I can assure you none of these ten items will be covered during the podcast, it is imperative to remember to embrace moments in life when something unforeseen enters your orbit. The unknown should be met with inspiration, not trepidation.

DID YOU KNOW? Spontaneous thoughts are seemingly random because the memories that build the thoughts are accessed by the brain’s default mode network in ways we cannot predict.
