March has always been said to arrive as a lion and depart as a lamb.
If you were in Livingston, NJ, this past Saturday, you would probably disagree.
The Pear Tree Project attended its first tradeshow on March 23, 2024. We braved the elements – the mighty winds of Essex County, the sheets of side-swept rain, the slick, tarred roadways, the treacherous curves – all to get free pens!
As we entered the venue, we were pleasantly greeted by a life-sized stuffed, plush labrador retriever. The first exhibitors were a non-profit organization dedicated to our furry friends. Items included – quiche, cupcakes, and turkey jerky.
We proceeded to a plethora of products for your skin. During this fortuitous exchange, the benefits of natural living were discussed.
At the following booth, a gentleman named Gabe proudly announced he was assisting his wife on their venture. Salt of all things, the Himalayan variety, impassioned this presenter as well as the Founding Father of the Pear Tree Project.
Next, we stood aghast watching as a melted butter bar lathered a hand-held mirror leaving oily streaks as a mischievous testimonial. Why would someone slather lard over our glass-reflections – why, to demonstrate a Norwegian cleaning product of course. End result, we are convinced we (and you) need this product.
After a litany of informational encounters regarding the latest and greatest in Wellness offerings, we ventured to our final booth. The aroma of candied, expresso scented candles and green apple lip balm finalized the day.
The commitment and dedication of the presenters should not be overlooked. The show did go on, without a hitch.
Hope to see you during the next trade show, in April. Fingers crossed that this one will not involve a monsoon, but instead a glorious sunset.
DID YOU KNOW? 13,000 trade shows occur annually in the United States, with Las Vegas, Chicago, and Orlando drawing the biggest numbers.
